My Life Onboard

After a 3-year overseas employment contract in Kuwait as a waiter, I immediately applied for a cruise ship job.
Just like everybody else, I had to go through all the hardships, difficulties, challenges and all of life's negativity to finally get the job. Imagine how many prayers I did from time to time back then, "pray without ceasing" as the Holy Bible says. I grabbed that one opportunity even though the salary can also be earned locally just to gain an experience, so it would be easier for me to look for another company offering a higher salary. Finally up until my latest company I was at ease. I was receiving the salary I am expecting.
Working in a cruise ship was an ultimate dream back then. I thought that once I am onboard, aside from a good salary, I will get to visit countries I have never been and can never afford. But, all of it became meaningless to me.
In exchange of all that perks, it felt like I deprived myself from making precious moments with my family.

Crossroads
For the longest years, I had to leave my family behind. I only get to spend time with them for a month or two. And in those months, I have to process my documents to rejoin for another contract, after each vacation. This realization hit me big time when I lost my mother to diabetes. I had so many plans with her, for my family. I haven't paid off all of her efforts and sacrifices.
Looking at her, lying in her sick bed made me think to finally look for another career when she gets off from the hospital. I promised not to leave her again.

But all of that will now stay as it is; as hopes.
I don't know if it's only me or you as well, my family is my reason to keep going.
We can never turn back time and that's certain. I took my mother's passing and my siblings as an inspiration to step up. This time something good has to happen. I promised my mother that we will be alright, me and my siblings.

And as a Christian, working in the cruise ship seems prioritizing myself first.
According to Matthew 6:33, "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you". I need to do my part as a Christian. I cannot rest on sabbath day when I am onboard. I miss going to church and spending fellowship with brethren. This is another reason why I have to change my career path. In fact, I always talk this with one Adventist brother Keven too, who I used to work with in the ship before.
You see we are all temporary dwellers in this sinful world. Our home-bound is in the New Jerusalem that Jesus is preparing for His sons and daughters. Let us be reminded that no matter where life leads us, no matter how busy we could get during the day, we have to always give glory to our God. Especially in this time of so much trouble all over the world, which only means that Christ's soon return is right at our doorstep.

I have proven to myself that my mentor affects my learning habit. I came to know freelancing from one freelancing coach Facebook ad. The concept seemed to be interesting to me as I like to spend most of my time online. And then I made further research about freelancing. Over time before my mother was hospitalized I was already having thoughts of venturing into this new career. That intensified after what happened to my mother and the pandemic situation we are now. I think it is very timely and relevant.
Choosing FVA Consultancy definitely was the best one!
One of the reasons why I was drawn to them is that they use Bible verses in most of their video promotions. The only thing that I got it a little hard for me was choosing the coach. The fact that I don't know any of them personally and nobody recommended me one. I had to watch the coaches' videos and check their social media accounts.
I was looking for someone friendly and approachable. Someone I will not get intimidated since the entire course will be via zoom meetings.
Without regrets I am so happy to have been a part of coach Noemi's team. She is very friendly and accommodating. She helps you out and supports you.
What I most like about her is that she never fails to share inspiring messages and Bible verses. Aside from her I have the very best online classmates as well, we are all friends now by the way.
"From Nada To Prada"
I spent most of all my leisure time caressing my mobile phone. Ha ha. I prefer to just stay at home than going out to a friend or neighbor's house. But that depends if someone is persistent to tag me along. And, I can't resist to a countryside visit, especially when that includes fishing and the likes.
I think of my phone as my comfort tool. Another ha ha for that. I can do almost everything with it. A friend of mine once told me that she is so amazed, about how in the world I never get bored of using my phone. That I could just be a lazy bee with it, all day long. I don't know if that is a part of "adulting" or I am just really a boring person and anti-social. I even just use my mobile phone only, when I edit my videos for my YouTube Channel. I have less knowledge about navigating a laptop or computer.
During the first week of the course, I had no idea that I needed to watch coaching videos from FVA Consultancy virtual academy. We have 5 assignments in a week. Most of which are very challenging, but it was of great help to learning the skills. My personality of doing things ahead of time instead of cramming, contrary to my sister's, was one big factor. Shhh! Do not tell her about that. Ha ha.
And of course, along with the eagerness to master the craft and the urge to unleash the kraken in me, I mean the inner beast in me. Ha ha again. I was so excited to do my assignments immaculately. Yes that term suits to a tee.
Certified Online Professional
In a matter of a month, I have discovered that I could also be good at something new. I made a move to step up my game. I challenged myself.
It enabled me to establish my presence in the online world. I admit there are still a lot of skills that needs to be learned.
One thing I thought of having before was a personal website. And this career realized that. Aside from that and most importantly I can now earn at the comfort of my home. I don't need to wake up early to clock in. Take a rush shower and put on my uniform and be conscious about the time. Attend a safety training or emergency drill during my supposed to be resting hours.
I can now make the most out of my day while I enjoy earning. This course has even helped me grow my online business network marketing. Let me know if you are interested let's make millions together! Click "millions", as your step one! No ha ha. This is serious and legit. Immaculate!
